Patient Information

Your First Visit is all about you – Your Comfort, Your Happiness, and Your Health

You will be welcomed by a caring, supportive dental team ready to cater to all of your needs.

Your first visit is a chance for us to get acquainted and to answer any questions you may have about your dental health. We encourage questions at any time. Each patient is special and we work diligently to meet the unique needs of each person we see. You will notice the difference in our office from the very first phone call.

We believe that great dental care begins with open communication. We promise to work hard to build your trust, by giving you important information and spending the necessary time it takes to work up a treatment plan that fits your needs. Working together, we can achieve a true partnership, with one common goal: to keep your smile beautiful and healthy for life!

What to expect on your first visit

We want every dental visit to be a great experience, starting with your first one. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment and plan on spending between 60-90 minutes in our office. You will receive a comprehensive oral examination, x-rays, and models to help Dr. Zarrella assess your oral health. Dr. Zarrella will look for signs of:

  •   Tooth decay
  •   Bone loss
  •   Oral cancer
  •   Periodontal (gum) disease

Oral Cancer Screening

An advanced oral cancer screening exam is an important part of the comprehensive oral evaluation. We use a non-invasive technology that improves our ability to identify, evaluate and monitor abnormal areas not visible in a conventional exam. There is an extra charge for this screening which is covered by some insurance companies.

Your Treatment Plan

Dr. Zarrella will customize a personal treatment plan for you based on the clinical findings of your initial examination. It will specify the type of cleaning and additional visits you need and include recommendations for home care products. Your dental team will review your treatment plan options and begin treatment with your consent.
